A big thank you from all of us, to Basma, for giving up her time to talk to us about Egypt.

THANK YOU!!

Arabic looks very different to English!  Do you think you could learn Arabic?

Egyptian Writing

Writing in Arabic

Basma wrote in Arabic. When writing in Arabic, you start at the right of the page and work across to the left. In English, we write from the left to the right.

Learning all about Egypt.

Basma came into our class to talk to Owls and Dinosaurs about Egypt.

We found out about the Pyramids- they took 80 years to build! The largest pyramid is made up of 2 million bricks!!!

The pyramids were built  and used as tombs. Basma showed us pictures of the pyramids.

We also saw pictures of Cairo, which is where Basma lived with her family. We saw the River Nile. The Red Sea, where lots of people take their holiday, looked lovely. If you dive or snorkel, you can see some beautiful coloured fish. Our talk was really interesting.
